Operations Director - Confidential Client Hire - Retail

Location: Nashville, TN


This position requires at least five years’ experience running retail operations in multi-location clothing brand companies. Retail inventory control experience is required. This person should be a highly organized individual, who portrays strong leadership skills, exhibits effective listening skills and can communicate effectively with internal and external contacts and team members to solicit support to complete tasks when necessary. Must have a high level of energy and possess the initiative and ability to multitask in a fast pace environment. He or she must be inspiring and compassionate, adaptable and versatile, upholding the highest standards of discretion and demonstrates good judgment.

Additional responsibilities include:


  • Oversee store operations (TN and FL) and the online platform.
  • Lead the team to drive efficiencies in store scheduling, payroll forecasting, reporting and administration of incentive programs.
  • Manage delivery of merchandise for both stores, pop up shops and online.
  • Primary liaison between the brand owner and store leaders to ensure that all information is communicated in a timely, consistent and brand appropriate manner.
  • Stay informed of new technology and the fashion industry initiatives to drive innovation and efficiency within stores.
  • Ensure structure is provided for the retail field team and stores in KPI’s, Policies and Procedures, trading feedback process, trading calendar, training programs, controllable retail costs and all communication channels.
  • Ensures that the Retail Operation team complies to all policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety; influences any changes necessary to meet State requirements, ensuring minimum risk to staff members and the business.
  • Negotiate and manage external vendor relationships.
  • Monitor P & L.
  • Partner with the accounting department to drive cost savings.
  • Execute a profitable budget.
  • Analyze store incentive programs to recommend changes that will drive top line growth and/or expense savings.

Skill Required:

  • Five years in direct-level retail work.
  • Five years retail inventory control experience.
  • Experience in multi-location clothing or comparable brand direction.
  • Strong speaking, writing, analytical and managerial skills, organized and basic math.
  • Able to work independently and make crucial decisions.
  • Able to be adept with computer software, especially databases and spreadsheets.
  • Maintaining highest regard to professionalism. Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Loyalty to the position and owner while remaining unemotional, maintaining composure and treating the job responsibilities with respect.
  • Possesses the ability to multi-task and remain extremely detail oriented and organized.
  • Handles all tasks and situation calmly, quickly and effectively.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S and will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and submit to a background check.
