What We're Looking For

Tri Star Sports & Entertainment is seeking an experienced Sr. Recruiter in our Los Angeles office. The successful candidate will lead talent acquisition and support with talent management, succession planning and development efforts. Demonstrate the ability to assess business needs and talent markets while developing and executing recruitment strategies, programs and tools that support business objectives. This role also requires effective partnering across the HR function through teamwork and collaboration to deliver value-added services to management while providing general HR expertise to the business. In conjunction with HR centers of expertise implement, interpret, administer and educate on HR programs, policies or practices that support business objectives and solve business problems.

Who You Are

You are a progressive Talent acquisition and HR business professional with experience managing stakeholder and candidate expectations throughout the recruitment lifecycle to establish compliance, consistency, and quality. You have a passion for implementing multi-faceted talent acquisition strategies to provide a qualified and diverse candidate pool to hiring leaders. With the ability to build long-term, value-added relationships, that include managing candidate communities, providing meaningful experiences during the identification and attraction processes. You have proven strong organizational skills, that possess a keen attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities and to maintain high levels of confidentiality. In addition, the role requires accountability, adaptability and critical thinking.

What You'll Do

Essential Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition

  • Demonstrates talent acquisition expertise, including but not limited to: marketing, strategy, sourcing, interviewing, processes, functions, systems, vendor management, legal requirements.
  • Works with the client teams to plan and implements staffing needs, executing Talent Acquisition short and long-term strategies.
  • Brings in experience and creative ideas to contribute to the build out and delivery of highly successful and efficient Talent Acquisition strategies.
  • Works collaboratively with Hiring Managers and Business Leaders to provide both transactional and strategic talent acquisition support to fill critical roles expeditiously.
  • Manage the consistent, accurate, and timely implementation of the recruiting & selection process through Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensures recruitment and good faith efforts generate a diverse applicant pool.
  • Posts open positions on ATS and outside diverse job boards to source both passive and active candidates.
  • Provides a positive hiring manager and candidate experience, promoting the company brand and career opportunity while negotiating offers and taking the necessary steps to ensure a successful hire.
  • Assists in writing or updating job descriptions and job postings, guides Hiring Managers on interviewing and assessment techniques.

Talent and Team Engagement

  • In conjunction with HR Director, implements, administers and educates on HR programs, policies or practices that support business objectives and solve business problems.
  • Collaborates with the HR Operations to compile HR metrics to support management discussions and decisions, ensure cohesive and comprehensive delivery of HR programs relative to the hiring and on boarding of the workforce.
  • Support business leaders on execution of performance management and talent management processes to promote a culture of high performance, continuous growth and development.
  • Assist management in evaluating performance of team members, providing guidance regarding coaching, counseling and development. Ensure employees have the right skills, tools and talents to perform their roles, and that the business has the right talent in the right roles.
  • As part of the overall talent management effort, partners with leadership to identify employee development and training needs, creating and implementing a plan to address those needs.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build and maintain morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Objectively analyzes current practices, identifies improvement opportunities, builds consensus and assists with the implementation of related changes.
  • Provide project management support and develops positive working relationships and business partnerships throughout the company.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations by understanding and staying current with state and national laws.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


What You Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or other related equivalent degrees, or any combination of related education and experience that provides the knowledge and abilities to perform the job required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience, with 2 to 4 years recruitment experience, developing processes to identify top candidates and partnering with the business to understand hiring needs.
  • Certification in PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Familiarity with state specific labor laws, wage and hour guidelines, COBRA, ADA, FMLA, ACA, PDL/CFRA and related Federal and State regulations.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to communicate confidently, clearly and with precision. Effectively communicate issues that are complex in nature, both verbally and in writing, through various mediums.
  • Strong business acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking and self-initiative.
  • Ability to use data to tell a compelling story is important. Ability to demonstrate sound decision making based on the right mix of data and experience.
  • Skilled in project management and development including effective interpersonal skills, effective and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage change and ambiguity in ever evolving and innovative environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data to recognize, identify, and verify errors in systems used by onboarding.
  • Self-motivation/energy – must be able to demonstrate initiative and be proactive with a ‘can-do’ attitude. ·
  • Handles matters of confidentiality with utmost tact and diplomacy.
  • Works with grace under pressure and have an adaptable style.
  • Strong Microsoft skills particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
