*Please note, this position is for meet + greet coffee shop in Nashville, TN. 

The primary role of this position is to manage all coffee shop team members in the efficient and profitable operation of the coffee shop as well as oversee the logistics of meetings. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, maintaining shop standards and conditions, which provides consistent fast, efficient, and friendly service. The manager creates the tone of the shop by being an advocate of training, customer service, product knowledge, and encouraging safe work practices.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates the ability lead and communicate.
  • Works with supervisor to develop sales and profit plans that are in line with budgetary goals.
  • Ensures proper team coverages.
  • Determines and problem solves for operational inconsistencies.
  • Maintains high cleanliness standards throughout the shop in the areas of store appearance, merchandise, and equipment.
  • Deals with guest complaints or issues in a timely manner.
  • Assists in vendor relationship management.
  • Continually builds morale and team spirit by maintaining a work environment where team input is encouraged.
  • Manage calls and handle queries of external contacts. Respond or prepare correspondence on the supervisor’s behalf when requested.
  • Manage daily calendar, tracking day-to-day activities and appointments, while ensuring all tasks are completed.
  • Manage meeting coordination and confirming arrangements and preparing necessary information prior to meeting.
  • Determine priority of matters and provide alert messages to supervisor with all information necessary to accurately execute daily tasks and activities.
  • Assist in facilitating upkeep of facility.
  • Running errands > Remaining knowledgeable on the recurring needs of the facility so that items are handled before the supervisor or owner notices the need.  Respond to questions / requests in a timely manner.
  • Assist in planning and organizing events when requested by supervisor
  • Greet and assist guests when they arrive.
  • Promote and sell membership packages under the direction of supervisor.
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are adequate in quantity and quality.
  • Assist in pricing products or services.
  • Ensure all records are kept properly and consistently.

  • Maintaining highest regard to professionalism. Excellent written and verbal communication across external contacts, team members, and guests.
  • Highly organized individual with effective listening skills
  • Handles all tasks and situation calmly, quickly and effectively.
  • Possess the initiative and ability to multitask in a fast pace environment.
  • Must be able to operate POS system.
  • Proficient with software programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Participates in meetings with concise, well-thought answers and provides constructive feedback to the ideas of others to move toward achieving the project goal.
  • Extracts information from informal comments.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work days, nights, weekends, and possible holidays.
  • Develops estimates, establishes deadlines.
  • Monitors tasks and assignments to ensure accurate and timely completion.
  • Coordinates the work of all resources to achieve maximum productivity.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of restaurant management.
  • Identifies best practices within the company that may be relevant to the position responsibilities.
  • Uses a wide range and depth of technical or specialized expertise to resolve problems.
  • College degree with strong academic record, desired. 
  • Experience in restaurant management or within coffee/restaurant industry. 

The individual who fills this position must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and submit to a background check. They will also need to provide a valid passport and driver's license.
