Clothing, Textiles & Fashion Merchandising Inventory Analyst - Full-time Confidential Client Placement

The Clothing, Textiles, and Fashion Merchandising Inventory Analyst is a critical player, representing the core of our high-profile Retail client's ability to support internal and external customers with the right products, delivered on-time and with 100% accuracy. Responsible for company financial performance through the accurate and timely receipt of merchandise, correct, efficient, and accurate warehousing and inventory management of received goods, 100% accurate customer order picking, staging, and outbound shipment, and all accompanying paperwork and on-line records. The primary duties of the Inventory Analyst consist of understanding and reporting a company's inventory and making recommendations that impact the bottom line. The Inventory analyst considers the company's prior inventory reports against national purchasing trends to make appropriate projections for the procurement planning efforts of the retail company.

This position requires at least five years’ experience running inventory operations in multi-location clothing brand companies. Retail inventory control experience is required.

Requires a highly organized individual with at least ten years of overall retail experience, who portrays strong leadership skills, exhibits effective listening skills and can communicate effectively with internal and external contacts and team members to solicit support to complete tasks when necessary. Must have a high level of energy and possess the initiative and ability to multitask in a fast pace environment. He or she must be inspiring and compassionate, adaptable and versatile, upholding the highest standards of discretion and demonstrates good judgment.

Additional responsibilities include:


  • Oversight of inventory controls, inspection of receipt of goods, monitoring inventory levels, set cost purchase guidelines.
  • Develop reporting processes to manage and communicate the flow of inventory data and costs.
  • Recommend optimum order points and quantities to meet business demands.
  • Provide the accounting team inventory levels and the related the costs of goods sold.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as well as ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Uphold operational standards and processes to deliver the ultimate experience to the client
  • Process received stock and record into system.
  • Track order history to plan for future inventory purchases.

Skill Required:

  • Strong speaking, writing, analytical and managerial skills, organized and basic math.
  • Able to work independently and make crucial decisions.
  • Able to be adept with computer software, especially databases and spreadsheets.
  • Maintaining highest regard to professionalism. Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Loyalty to the position and owner while remaining unemotional, maintaining composure and treating the job responsibilities with respect.
  • Possesses the ability to multi-task and remain extremely detail oriented and organized.
  • Handles all tasks and situation calmly, quickly and effectively.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S and will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and submit to a background check.
